We all put on masks every day.
I know I do.
This is hard to say, but sometimes I even put on a suit and tie when I don’t need to because I want to show others that I am somehow “important” or worth being with. It’s hard to admit.
Even this nice photo above, which looks so calmly casual, was the product of a 3-hour photo shoot. I chose between multiple angles, perspectives. It is me managing the way I want the world to see me.
In other words, me without my mask on. The real me.
Wearing something casual, or not shaving somehow makes me feel lesser. Undeserving. Not at my best.
But why should it? Unshaven me is still ME. Me with wrinkles is just me showing the world that I am seasoned. Showing my vulnerabilities makes me more human.
What about you? What mask(s) do you wear?
Heavy make-up, clothes that are strategically designed to make your body look a way it isn’t in reality, status or brand items, the coolest new thing out there?
… WELL … This week, we courageously take off the mask. Can you do it?
For just one day, can YOU go to work with no make-up or unshaven??
That’s it. Nothing more.
One day. You showing the world – and yourself – that you can be YOU.
Are you ready? Join now.
XOXO – Scott
