Let’s start again with this definition of meditation if you missed it yesterday and because it’s that good.
Meditation’s definition, as defined by Patanjali, the Sage also known as the “Father of Yoga”: “The progressive silencing of the thought process until you reach the source of thought.”
I am so excited to invite you to this week’s meditation challenge hosted by ME and Casey Edward! FUN FACT: Casey is the one who got me into meditating when I took her incredible online course: Manifesting Your Dreams.
So I guess that’s where my whole meditation journey started. Instead of “finding myself” in the “real world” (my absolute least favorite phrase) after college I felt totally lost and down and unmotivated to be myself. I looked at everything around me: awesome new city, living near my best friends, amazing engineering job but something still didn’t feel right. I felt like I was rushing through the days to get to the weekend and never just living and enjoying life as it was coming and going.
I’ve been meditating now for over 10 months and have truly transformed! But the best part is that all those external things stayed the same. The city (anyone live in Boston – #lovemycity), being near my best friends and making tons of new ones, and the same engineering job! So what changed was me!!
Meditation allowed me to look inward. To stop thinking-thinking-thinking and doing-doing-doing and to learn how to just BE. And be me 🙂
