What is Scare Your Soul?
Scare Your Soul is a volunteer-led, science-based movement that inspires people to ignite their best selves through living a courageous life.
What does Scare Your Soul do?
• SYS guides and motivates individuals to partake in repeated small acts of courage.
• SYS builds inspiration and community by sharing the commitments and accomplishments of participants from around the world.
• SYS is founded on science-based Positive Psychology principles, with special emphasis on the “growth mindset” work of Carol Dweck.
How do I participate?
Sign up here to get SYS’s weekly e-mails and become part of the private Facebook community. Starting on January 7, you’ll get our weekly e-mail announcing a small but powerful courage challenge for the week. You choose whether to participate – for 1 week or 52 weeks. We’ll provide you all the resources and inspiration. And it’s completely free.
Who is behind Scare Your Soul?
Soulsters (our community member) are the heart of Scare Your Soul. They are courageous people from around the world who possess a growth mindset. A growth mindset is the attitude that we can get smarter, happier, and better through hard work and practice. It requires grit and openness. “In a growth mindset, people believe that their most basic abilities can be developed through dedication and hard work—brains and talent are just the starting point.” (Carol Dweck)
Who are the Ambassadors?
Hand-picked leaders from around the globe make up the Ambassador Program. These individuals bring the SYS experience directly home and embody the leading-edge of what we do: inspiring and guiding others to commit small acts of courage in their own lives, and to connect & share those experiences with others, causing a ripple effect of positivity around the world. Check out our Ambassadors.
And who are the Advisors?
Our Advisory Board is made up of leaders in fields that represent transformation and growth mindsets. These experts advise and guide the direction of SYS.
Is there a cost to participate?
In a word: no. SYS is a volunteer-led movement of talented and committed people, fueled not by dollars but by passion and karma.
