Shortly after having my first son, a friend asked what I would do with my life if I could do anything. I said that I’d like to be a yoga teacher, “but obviously can’t do that.” She asked me why not, and I didn’t have an answer, so I was signed up for teacher training by the end of the year. Fast forward 6 or 7 years and I had the opportunity to take over a yoga studio with a partner. I jumped at the opportunity.
The funny thing is, those BIG things never “scare” me. It’s not the decisions to get married, have kids, change careers, or buy a house that make me nervous. Because of the 2016 and 2017 SYS Challenges, I’ve been working on being vulnerable, being ok with silence, and making decisions that I know in my heart are right but will be tough. Those seemingly smaller things are the things that really scare my soul, but that are always right, and true, and honest. The “small” things always turn out to be the big things anyway!
