I once was told in Corporate America that I did not have any leadership qualities. I was told that ‘I wasn’t good at many things’ – and that I should consider transitioning into a role where I didn’t lead a team. So I considered that. And then I quit.
Almost 6 months ago I quit my day job to pursue my dream of owning my own business and selling real estate. It was the best decision I’ve ever made, and to be honest, I now look for more opportunities to be that brave in my day to day life.
One of the bravest things I did after that was enrolling myself into business and life coaching. At the end of one of the coaching sessions, we had the opportunity to receive anonymous notes from all of our peers (all 120 of us in the program) telling us how they really felt about us. As my notes piled up, I noticed an overwhelming theme.
Confident. Natural Leader. Always Smiling. Fearless and Kind. Hard Working. Ability to Grow. Constantly Serving. Determined and Successful.
The universe rewards you when you let go of people and things that no longer serve you. It rewards you for being brave enough to walk away from things you know are not right for you.
And it rewards you for wanting to grow into your best self. And I’m here for that.
