I have been making life more beautiful for people as an Interior Designer for the last fifteen years. I always knew I wanted to make my client’s spaces not only look good, but feel amazing, and I wasn’t sure how at first. With all my heart, however, I knew there would be a time and place in my life where the shift would happen for me.
I believe that one of the first signals that we are awakening to our truest path manifests when we suddenly become aware of the anxiety and depression that we’ve carried. As these symptoms bloomed and negatively affected my health, I dove into yoga and meditation.
My life began shifting and I experienced a sense of grounding that I’d never felt before.
Later, I began studying Feng Shui, Space Clearings, became a Reiki Master, and found magnificent ways to alter spaces in ways I’d only before dreamed of.
Yet, I was uncomfortable declaring my new offerings. Though my close friends understood my passion, my background made me hesitant to call my newfound magic a “job.”
Would all my brilliant design friends call me “weird” or “woowoo?” Would my clients feel strange and stop calling?
Then, in March 2018, I took a trip to Sedona to earn an advanced certification in Interior Alignment Feng Shui. Sitting on top of a mountain, watching the sun set over the red rocks with tears streaming down my face, I finally decided to follow my heart.
I immediately flew back to Cleveland and announced excitedly that I am Magic (or Woo, if you will) to everyone who would listen! To my surprise, the people I’d suspected would most question my work became some of my biggest supporters as my Feng Shui consultations and Space Clearing Work quickly expanded.
Then I had another scary dream. I’d always wanted to help people understand and use Feng Shui tools, like crystals and sage, so I created the online store I’d been dreaming of. Good Chi debuted in July and it lights me up to share my sacred tools with the world.
I love when women support one another. Having a group of fierce female friends was a huge inspiration. I believe that by helping your girlfriend, you’re helping yourself and every other woman to become more powerful.
Through all of this, understanding and finding my grounding through my connection to nature – mother earth and her cycles – has given me the confidence to do things I never could have believed I could accomplish.
